Penrhos 2008

9th - 13th July.

The Venue:

We’re hiring the Polish Scouts centre in Penrhos, on the Lleyn Peninsula, North Wales. It’s within walking distance of the beach and pub...so bring your swimsuit and surfboards.

The Time:

Leaving Wednesday, 9th July, returning Sunday 13th July. However, you can join us at anytime…

The Programme:

Local villages provide a ready supply of Welsh Cream Teas and are excellent starting points for coastal walks. Snowdonia is a short drive away, as are many medieval castles and tourist attractions e.g. Portmeirion, where “The Prisoner” was filmed. We’ll also be having parties and our traditional night-time campfire on the beach (weather permitting).

What to bring:

The usual weekend gear including: Sleeping bag, pillow, waterproofs, walking boots, pyjamas and washing gear. We provide all the food; you provide your own booze.

Transport:

By minibus from POSK on Wednesday at 10.00am. We can also arrange transport from other parts of the country. If you require transport or have spaces in your car please tell us ASAP so we can allocate places. Estimated transport cost on the Minibus is £32 per head.

Cost:

£50 for members (membership costs as follows: graduates: £10, students £5). Plus transport costs. The cost increases by £10 for bookings received after 1th July.
